Building a Skincare Routine That Lasts

Building a Skincare Routine That Lasts

There is a version of skincare that lives on the shelf, untouched after week two. And then there is a version that becomes part of the way you move through your morning. The difference between them is rarely the products themselves — it is the routine you can actually keep.

When clients come to me feeling overwhelmed, we begin by stripping back. A gentle cleanser. A treatment serum that addresses one priority. A moisturizer that feels good on the skin. SPF, every day, without negotiation. Five steps or fewer, repeated twice a day.

From there, we layer in actives slowly — a retinoid two nights a week, an exfoliating acid on alternating evenings, a vitamin C in the morning when the skin is ready. The goal is never to do more. The goal is to do the right things, in the right order, long enough to see them work.

Your skin is patient with you. Be patient with it.
